About my practice

About

I am a visual artist, Occupational Therapist and Sensory Integration Practitioner.

In my art I make abstract expressionist style paintings about everyday experiences, gardens, flowers and nature feature frequently. I love colour and texture.

For sensory work I help others understand their sensory preferences and how to overcome any sensitivities that may be impacting life.

Creativity to communicate

Art is a valuable, often underestimated, form of expressive communication, that we tend to loose as we become adults. Practicing art can help improve our ability to express complex ideas and emotions visually.

Well-being

The act of creating art requires you to be fully present in the moment, this helps reduce feelings of worry and is a great distraction. Art making is a form of active meditation that allows your mind to be focused and at ease. It’s good for our mental health.

Opportunities in abundance

Art making is a world of limitless possibilities, where the journey is as exhilarating as the destination, and where every moment is an opportunity to make your mark. The only limit is the extent of your imagination.
